The race is split into age groups with the U16's going of first before a small delay and the U14's follow until all catergorys have gone.

James Shaw started in the U14's and by halfway had left his fellow U14 competitors in world of hurt and set off in pursuit of the U16's 2 laps later and he's on them. James then does a text book manouvere and attacks them which shakes up the group a little.

On the bell lap three riders take a flyer and stay away to the end with James taking 5th 6th place amongst the U16's bunch.
