Click to see more picturesDerby Mercury's event in Derby's Markeaton Park took place on a rather grey but warm Saturday afternoon.

The Under 10's event was once again won in convincing style by William Gascoyne. With Jessica Willett and Tom Shaw taking 13th and 15th positions respectively.

Tom's older brother James held his nerve to win a very fast Under 12's beating Matlock's Arthur Green in a last minute sprint for the line. WELL DONE James! Declan Tennyson also rode a strong race coming in 6th.

The Youth race took place over the full senior circuit and proved a challenging course for all the youngsters. Kieran Tennyson was Heanor's best placed rider in 6th place - 4th under 14. Followed by Tom Hunt, Alex Curtis and Ana Gill in 12th, 14th and 16th respectively.

The Senior race was another fast and furious affair. Rob Parkin coming in 8th place behind the winner Dan Booth.
